I'm Matt Finkle, founder and CEO of Paier.

I've spent my career as an operator and entrepreneur, building, running, and growing small businesses across a range of industries. I've been the person signing the checks, chasing the invoices, reconciling the books at midnight, and stitching together a dozen disconnected tools just to keep the lights on.

That's where Paier comes from. Not from a fintech lab, from the actual experience of running small businesses and feeling, firsthand, how badly the financial back office is broken. Every tool was a silo. None of them did the work. And the people who worked alongside me were left to manage their own money with whatever was left over.

Paier is the answer I wished existed: one intelligent agent that runs all of it, for the business, and for the people in it.

Every great small business had a Bob.

The one who knew where every dollar went. Who caught the double-billed invoice, flagged the vendor creeping their prices, and quietly kept the whole place honest.

Bob is named after my father, who spent decades keeping the books for small businesses. Exactly the kind of trusted, indispensable presence we set out to rebuild in software.

Today, Bob from Accounting is an autonomous AI agent. He reads every invoice the moment it arrives, flags duplicates before they're paid, catches scam emails aimed at the business, and notices when a recurring charge quietly ticks up. He runs payroll, pays vendors however they want to be paid, and files the 1099s. And he does the same on the personal side for employees, watching their subscriptions, funding their savings, moving their money.

Not a dashboard you have to check. A colleague who does the work and tells you what matters.
